Copyright notices

Our designated agent

Under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), notices go to our designated agent:

You can use the form below or email the agent. Notices from outside the US are welcome too.

What a notice needs

  1. The work you own (or act for), for example a title or a link to the original.
  2. The address on Axork where it appears, such as a shared link (/s/… or /d/…) or an item in the Synaptic Exchange.
  3. Your name and an email address we can reach you at.
  4. A statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't allowed by the owner, its agent or the law.
  5. A statement that the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you're the owner or allowed to act for them.
  6. Your signature. Typing your full name counts.

What happens next

If your item was taken down

If you shared it and think the removal was a mistake, or you have permission, send a counter-notice here. The email we sent you has the case number. If the person who complained doesn't tell us they've started legal action within 14 days, the item can come back.

Sign in to see the items taken down from your account.

Repeat infringers

After a third upheld copyright notice against the same account, the account is flagged as a repeat infringer and we may close it.

Other problems, such as spam, scams or harm to children, go through Report or [ABUSE EMAIL]. See the Acceptable Use Policy.
